Deborah Mae Christen, 72, a longtime resident of Chandler, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, July 24, 2026, in McLoud, Oklahoma.

Deborah was born on June 21, 1954, in Batavia, New York. She was raised in Manchester, New York, where she was brought up in the Catholic faith. She attended school in Manchester, graduating from high school in 1972.

In 1980, Deborah married the love of her life, Farrel Glen Christen Sr., in Houston, Texas. Throughout Glen's career in construction, the family relocated frequently, and Deborah devoted herself to raising their children as a loving stay-at-home mother. The family later relocated to Oklahoma, making Chandler their home.

After her children were raised, Deborah went to work as a custodian at Chandler Nursing Home, where she faithfully served for several years before retiring.

Deborah loved visiting the casino, traveling, taking road trips, and getting lost in a good book. Above all, she cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, spending time doing whatever they wanted to do.

Deborah was preceded in death by her father, Robert Racicot.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Farrel Glen Christen Sr.; children, Glen Christen Jr. and his wife Melissa Christen, Robert Christen and his wife Laura Christen, and Cheryl Desmarais and her husband Kenneth Gibbs; grandchildren, Whitney Gibbs and her husband Bryan Castro, Michael Christen, Rheanna Christen, Maegan Christen, and Cheyenne Christen; great-granddaughters, Scarlett Castro, and Makenzie Castro; sisters, Kay Burger, and Lorraine Scott; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, other extended family members and dear friends.
