Buryl James "Jim"
Williams Jr.

Starts at 11:00 am (Central time)
Buryl James “Jim” Williams Jr., 69, passed away on Tuesday morning, April 21, 2026, in Chandler, Oklahoma.
Jim was born on June 5, 1956, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Buryl James Williams Sr. and Shirley Sue (Hankins) Williams. He met Debbie Kay Swartz while attending summer school, and the couple married in 1974 at Garnett Assembly of God in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They later renewed their vows on December 31, 1980, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, also in Tulsa.
Jim spent his career as a mechanic in the trucking industry. He worked for Ellsworth Trucking in Tulsa for a time before dedicating 38 years to United Parcel Service, retiring in 2005. Following what proved to be a short-lived retirement, Jim returned to work as a mechanic for Delta Airlines. He was a man who never stopped working.
When he wasn’t on the job, Jim enjoyed working on cars, riding motorcycles, and spending time on the water with Debbie, whether on their Sea-Doos or their boat. He liked things that went fast. He also took pride in mowing his lawn and had a lesser-known talent for playing the organ. Above all, Jim cherished his children and grandchildren, who were truly the center of his world. In March 2022, Jim and Debbie made their home in Chandler to be closer to the family he loved so dearly.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Buryl Williams, Sr.; and his wife of 50 years, Debbie Kay Williams.
He is survived by his sons, Buryl Jay Williams and his wife Kerri of Yukon, Ok, and Brian James Williams and wife Maryann of Newalla, Ok; daughter, Stephanie Streets and husband Thomas of Chandler; his mother, Shirley Williams of Stroud, Ok; sister, Robbin Harwood of Glenpool, Ok; grandsons, Ben Williams, Brody Williams, and Tyler Streets; granddaughter, Mackenzie Roller; nephew, John Harwood and wife Bran’Dee; niece, Deanna Harwood; several great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as a host of other extended family members and friends.
