Celebrating the Life of Betty Fletcher With grateful hearts, we celebrate the life of our beloved Betty Fletcher, who was called home to heaven at the age of 98 on June the 5th, 2026.Betty was born on February the 13th, 1928. She grew up and first met the young man she would marry ,in Ramona, Ok.William Laurence, (Gale) Fletcher and Betty Jane Plett were married on August 3rd, 1947. She attended Northeastern College in Tahlequah, Ok, and they also lived in Stillwater, Inola, and moved to Meeker in 1957.Betty and Gale were members of First Baptist Church of Meeker where they were involved with the Youth Ministry, sponsored Church camps and trips, and she taught Sunday School. Her favorite hobby was gardening but she also sewed, enjoyed making ceramics, and cooking. Many German recipes were passed down and she was a master maker of Windowpane and Peppernut Cookies.Together, they traveled to many places; all over the States and other places such as Morocco, Mexico, St. Lucia, and Canada. But their favorite was Israel. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and steadfast faith touched countless lives. She taught her family the importance of trusting God, loving one another, and living with grace. She never missed an opportunity to encourage someone, offer a helping hand, or share God's love through her words and actions. Her Christian faith guided every chapter of her life. Through seasons of excitement, joy, contentment, and fulfillment, hardships, sickness, depression, and loneliness, she remained steadfast in her trust in God. She faithfully attended church, prayed daily for her family, and lived as an example of Christ's love.Betty was preceded in death by parents, David and Helena Plett, husband W. L.
