James Lee 'Jim' Klabzuba was born in Prague, Oklahoma on April 24, 1958 and departed this life at his home in Prague on July 11, 2014. He was the son of Joe J. and Leontine (Kuban) Klabzuba. Jim graduated from Prague High School with the class of 1976 and was a three year letter-man for the Red Devil Football team. He then entered the University of Oklahoma and was a member of Beta Theta Pi Men’s Fraternity. Jim had lived all of his life in Prague. He spent his entire adult life in the oil and gas exploration business. Jim lived a colorful life and will long be remembered for his quick wit and engaging personality. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include 3 brothers and 2 sisters in law; Robert and Ruth Klabzuba of Edmond, Joe Paul Klabzuba of Prague, and John and Georgia Klabzuba of Prague; 2 aunts, Irene Sykora of Oklahoma City, Doris Klabzuba of Ft. Worth, TX; 1 niece and 2 nephews, Mary Hayes and her husband, Glen, Edmond, James Klabzuba and his wife, Amanda, Plano, TX, Andrew Klabzuba, Portland, OR; great nephews, Hunter and Ryan Hayes, Edmond; and numerous cousins. The Klabzuba family will receive friends on Sunday, July 20, 2014, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 21, 2014, at 11:00 AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Reverend Father Price M. Oswalt, K.C.H.S. officiating. Entombment will follow at Prague Cemetery.
