Gilford Darrel Hill was born in Tecumseh, Oklahoma on September 18, 1929 and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 16, 2010 at the age of 80 years.
Gilford was the son of Elbert and Stella (Henry) Hill. Gilford was a resident of Stroud, Oklahoma most of his life. He owned a Construction and Contracting Company and was a Rancher. He was married to Juanita Weeks for 62 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Kenneth Hill, and 1 sister, Ruby Smith. Survivors include, Wife, Juanita of the home, Two Sons, Darrel Hill of Callahan, FL, Glen Hill & wife Sharon of Stroud, OK, One Daughter, Twana Schmitz & husband Randy of Tulsa, OK, Sister in Law, Marjorie Hill of Bakersfield, CA, Eight Grandchildren, Grant Schmitz, Connor Schmitz, Alex Schmitz Beth Place, Wyatt Hill, Mindy Cousins, Vincent Hill and Sean Hill, Five Great Grandchildren, Others friends and relatives.
Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Burl Mackey officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
