Arther L. Atwood, age 53, of McLoud, OK, was born on May 23, 1956, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was the son of Arther Gaylon & Louis Veta (Pickle) Atwood. He left this life on Friday, May 14, 2010, in Midwest City, OK.
Arther worked as an auto mechanic for over 25 years. He married Jerry Lee Wallis on July 10, 1998, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Arther was an announcer for the National Barrel Horse Association and the Youth Rodeo. His hobby was barrel racing.
Arther was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Jerry Lee Atwood of the home; 2 sons & daughter-in-law, Richard & Stacie Atwood, Midwest City, OK, Jason Atwood, Ada, OK; 2 daughters, Sara Atwood, Choctaw, OK, Paytyn Atwood, McLoud, OK; 4 grandchildren, Erin, Edward & Armistea Atwood, Midwest City, OK, Alayna Atwood, Oklahoma City, OK and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, May 17, 2010, at the Newalla First Baptist Church, Newalla, OK with Rev. Theresa Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Jones IOOF Cemetery, Jones, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
