Agatha Alice Smiddy was born on December 10, 1925, in Mount Gilead, North Carolina, and departed this life on Sunday, May 2, 2010, in Columbia, Missouri, at the age of 84.
Agatha, the daughter of Bryan Eugene and Lola Lee (Maynord) Roberts, was a resident of Columbia, Missouri. Agatha was a homemaker and a member of the church of Christ. Her parents; two sisters, Matte Lee Hines, Elvie McIntyre; and one brother, Carson Roberts, preceded Agatha in death.
Survivors include sons, Gerald Smiddy of Duncan, David Smiddy of Tullahassee; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and J.B. Dunn of Prague, Rebecca & Charles Scott of Columbia, MO, Cathy and Deiter Gauthun of Duncan; brother and sister-in-law, John F. and Dorothy Roberts of Urania, LA, Julia Ann and James Adcock of Rayville, LA; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-granchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 10:00 AM, at the church of Christ in Paden with Brian Berry officiating. Interment will follow at the Paden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
