Ruby Lou Davis, Fairview, OK, age 85, was born on September 8, 1924 in Hermleigh, TX. She was the daughter of Olin Wilson & Mamie Susan (Price) Lewis. She departed this life on Thursday, January 14, 2010, in Harrah, OK.
Ruby married Lawrence Orlin "L. O." Davis on November 23, 1946 in Comanche, OK. She enjoyed embroidery, writing poetry and reading her Bible.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 son, Bruce W. Davis, 2 grandchildren, Larry Don Davis & Jeffrey Wade Davis, 2 sisters, Virginia & Myrle.
Survivors include 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Larry B. & C.J. Goddard, Sterling, OK, Lawrence B. & Diana Davis, Harrah, OK; daughter & son-in-law, Charlotte & Rob Sandusky, Detroit, MI; brother & sister-in-law, Milton & Ivonne Lewis, Duncan, OK; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Donations may be made to Choctaw Road Baptist Church Youth Ministry.
Services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 16, 2010, at the Choctaw Road Baptist Church, Choctaw, OK, with Dr. Rick Sowell officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Fairlawn Cemetery, Comanche, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
