 For over 90 years, we have been a family owned and operated funeral service center. The Parks and Smith families first began their professional association in funeral service over forty years ago when a young Asa Smith took his first job as funeral director and embalmer working for J. P. Parks, Sr. Through the years, that association has seen many changes, but one thing has remained constant: the Parks and Smith families' commitment to provide quality funeral service at reasonable prices. Even though J. P. Parks, Sr. and Asa Smith are both deceased, that tradition remains in full force with the next generation continuing the ownership and management of the funeral service centers. Jim Parks, son of J. P. Parks, Sr., is a third generation funeral director and embalmer and oversees the at-need side of the business. Cass Smith, son of Asa Smith, serves as the aftercare director and pre-need coordinator.Today, we operate the Smith-Parks Funeral Service Center in Harrah and Parks Brothers Funeral Service Centers in Prague, Stroud, and Chandler. Additionally, we have viewing chapels in Meeker and Wellston. Please visit one of our full-service centers and meet our staff. |
